Website Terms of Use
These terms govern use of the Recieved website, including its landing page, waitlist and enquiry forms. They do not by themselves create a paid subscription or authorise use of the Recieved software platform. Paid services will be governed by a separate order form, customer terms and data processing agreement.
1. About us
The website is operated by Bianca Schwartz, a sole trader based in Scotland, trading as Recieved.
Contact: bianca@recieved.co. Our business postal address will be added before these terms are finalised.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By using the website, you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the website.
You must be at least 18 years old and use the website for business or professional purposes. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to act for it.
3. Website purpose
The website provides information about Recieved, its planned services and ways to register interest or contact us. Website content is general information only. It is not legal, financial, tax, accounting, safety, emergency, trade or other professional advice.
Descriptions of planned features, integrations, prices, launch dates, savings or outcomes are subject to validation and may change before a binding customer order is agreed. Nothing on the website guarantees that a feature, integration, place on a pilot, launch date or level of saving will be available.
4. Waitlist and pilot interest
Joining the waitlist is simply a flag that records your interest and allows us to keep you posted about Recieved's development, availability and launch. It does not:
We may contact you with the waitlist updates you requested. Joining does not confirm your entry, price, package, acceptance into a pilot, access to the service or a guaranteed place. Any pilot or subscription will require separate written terms.
- Reserve a guaranteed place.
- Create a contract for paid services.
- Guarantee acceptance into a pilot.
- Fix a price, package, feature set or launch date.
- Require you to buy the service.
5. Accurate information
You must provide information that is accurate, current and not misleading. You must not submit another person's personal information unless you are authorised to do so and have given any required privacy information.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
We may block or report activity that reasonably appears to breach these terms or threaten the service or other people.
- Use the website unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm another person.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, platform, accounts, systems or data.
- Introduce malware, harmful code, automated attacks or excessive traffic.
- Scrape, crawl, probe, test or reverse engineer the website except where the law expressly permits it.
- Circumvent security, access restrictions, rate limits or consent choices.
- Submit unlawful, defamatory, infringing, discriminatory, abusive or misleading content.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority or affiliation.
- Use website content or forms to send spam or unsolicited marketing.
- Copy, resell or exploit substantial parts of the website without permission.
7. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, Recieved or its licensors own the intellectual property rights in the website, its design, branding, text, software and materials. "Recieved" is the approved brand spelling.
You may view and print reasonable extracts for your own internal business evaluation. You must not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license or commercially exploit website material without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.
Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used to evaluate and improve Recieved. You keep ownership of your original material. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and analyse that feedback for product development, provided we handle personal information in accordance with the privacy notice.
8. Third-party services and links
The website may link to or describe third-party services. Those services are controlled by their own providers and may have separate terms and privacy notices. A link or integration reference does not mean that Recieved controls, guarantees or endorses every aspect of that service.
9. Website availability and changes
We may update, suspend or withdraw all or part of the website. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that content will always be complete, current or error-free. We will take reasonable care but the website is provided on an "as available" basis.
10. Security and reliance
You are responsible for using appropriate device, browser and security protections. You must not rely on the website as an emergency communications channel or as the sole record of any important instruction.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that:
This section applies only to the extent permitted by law. Liability for any paid service will be governed by the separate customer agreement.
- We are not liable for loss arising solely from reliance on non-binding website content, planned feature descriptions or third-party links.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, anticipated saving, goodwill or data arising from use of the public website.
- If we are found liable in connection with the public website and no separate paid contract applies, our total liability will not exceed £100.
12. Privacy and cookies
Our Website Privacy Notice explains how we use personal information. Our cookie information will explain any storage or access technologies used by the live website. These documents form part of the website information but do not replace any separate customer data processing agreement.
13. Linking to our website
You may link fairly and lawfully to the website in a way that does not damage our reputation or suggest an association or endorsement that does not exist. You must not frame the website or link from unlawful or misleading content. We may withdraw linking permission where reasonably necessary.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, comply with law, investigate misuse or enforce these terms. Provisions intended to continue, including intellectual property, liability and governing law, will survive termination.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on the website will apply from its stated effective date. Changes to paid services will be handled under the separate customer agreement and will not be made merely by changing these website terms.
16. Governing law and courts
These terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from them are governed by Scots law. The Scottish courts will have exclusive jurisdiction for business users, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
